"Wanted to thank Scott and entire staff for the delightful "open house" on Sunday. We love Onyx and have dinner with you a couple times a month. It was a real treat to have you all take the time to say "thank you." Consider myself so lucky to have such a wonderful place in my back yard. The food is always outstanding. Anthony-great bartender. Zack, Elaine and Christy are terrific! Your entertainment is wonderful. We love Bobby and Joni. And last but not least Scott-no better host and manager in town. Always make us feel so welcome. "I wanted to thank everyone at the Onyx for a wonderful surprise birthday party. There were 12 of us and every one of us had a fabulous time. We shared some appetizers which were really yummy and the ribeye I ordered was one of the best steaks I've ever eaten. Scott (the manager) came over to introduce himself and make sure we were having a good time (which we were). Chrissy was our waitress and she was right on top of everything. It was my first time there but it certainly won't be my last! Thanks again! "

"We had a fantastic Wedding Meal here and would advise people to get away from the hustle and bustle of the Strip and try this place out! I would like to thank the bar man Ron and our server Courtney you where brilliant and Thank you to Scott for organising it! it made such a special ending to my Wedding Day! "We just celebrated our 41st Anniversary, and there was no discussion as to where we would have dinner...ONYX ! These folks definitely have taken a page out of "the way restaurants used to be". Scott, the general manager, always makes the rounds to chat with each table of guests. Ron, the bartender, is a master of mixing drinks, and suggesting just the right wine. Courtney and Elaine are wonderful servers...they stay right on top of things at every step, without being overbearing. And what can you say about Chef Rey ? The word that comes to mind is WOW ! Every dish that comes out of his kitchen is marvelous. You really have a hard time making a choice from the menu, as everything is prepared to perfection. No, they haven't paid us to say these things...we just know and appreciate fine dining when we find it, and ONYX is at the top of our "Preferred" list."

"Today I got a postcard in the mail offering dinner for two at Bogey's. When I checked the menu there was really nothing I can eat except a house salad. I am a vegan and can usually get a veggie burger or pasta wherever I go. Guess I won't be going to Bogey's to eat, it looks very cool on this website."

"Onyx Fine Dining is like an oasis in the middle of the desert. I visit at least twice each month for the great weekend specials, live entertainment, and friendly servers. After a few visits they remember your favorite wine, cocktail and even how well done you want your steak! The chef is willing to tweak a menu item to make it my way and manager Scotty never fails to come to the table to make sure each guest is happy.Whenever we have company from out of town...Onyx is on the agenda. "

"We had dinner here for the __time, as always it was great, the Chicken Parm, oh my. We took home about a gallon of the potato soup for our Christmas eve family get together, it received rave reviews. I have had as many as 8 in for dinner and the service was good, food was great and the atmosphere unbelievable. Of course I maybe easy to impress, NOT!!! Good job, Scott. "

"We live close to the Onyx Restaurant and located it via the internet before ever moving here. It's a great local restaurant with friendly faces that always warmly welcome you! In addition to the menu items, Chef Rey has different weekend specials to offer. This particular night we had the cornish hen and it was delicious! In addition, there are great happy hour specials and delightful weekend entertainment. From the outside Bogey's looks like it's only a gaming facility, but once you get inside you see there is a separate dining area that's really upscale. You have to stop by the Onyx to check it out!"

"Very good experience, fantastic service from our waiter, Justin. Osso bucco was delicious and the portions are extremely good (had leftovers the next night at home!). Quality of food and service were both great. Will definately return! Server and food were both amazing! "We found this restaurant to be a wonderful experience on all levels. The food was excellent in all respects. Our server Courtney was very helpful and friendly. Ron, the bartender, was a character, and we enjoyed visiting with him during our meal. The manager, Scott, stopped by our table and welcomed us. We assured him that we will definitely be regulars. If you want a great meal, atmosphere, and good value...this is the place for you. Be sure to ask about their special dinner for two !! "

"Onyx is THE restaurant!!!It's classy without being ostentatious, quite intimate and it's decor is, without a doubt, warming and most comfortable...needless to say, I fell in love with the restaurant from the moment I stepped inside and was greeted by a most friendly hostes who seated us wherever we chose...the staff is fantastic and Scott is the most friendly, courteous manager I have come in contact with over the many years I have been a resident of Las Vegas...now, the food..that is something else!! Everything that I have ordered so far was far beyond expectations...So tasty, yummmy! I intend to dine there quite frequently and recommend that you try it for yourselves...bring friends and family and for sure you will not be disappointed...It's very similar to sitting in the comfort of your own living room and catered to by your very dear friends...cheers to the Scott and his staff. "My wife and I were in for dinner on Wed. night 6/30. We were looking for someplace different and had your mailer. The 44.95 special sounded good. The service was great from the start. The room is beautiful and the food was absolutely outstanding. The appetizer was excellent and we both had the Ribeye Steak dinner. They were both cooked to perfection. The potato and vegetables were excellent and the desserts that we took home were also great. We have already told some friends and I believe that one couple is going there tonight. We are defintely going to be back to try the many different entrees on your menu. It's hard to find a restaurant where food quality and service are great and prices aren't overwhelming. "So, I wrote a review a few months saying I was having my wedding reception here at ONYX. The last review on here explains how they handled her party of 75 with no complaints. Well, I completely tested the staff and management here with my reception. I had 100 people and, through tons of brainstorming and hard work, Scott and his staff made the whole night magical. I cried and cried to Scott how sorry I was and all he kept telling me was "Don't worry about it. I will make it happen for you!" And he did. My guests raved and raved for weeks about the food, the staff, the interior of the restaurant, the entire set up. People I know that usually only finish MAYBE half a plate of food were going up for seconds. A couple of the guests had three helpings!!! Between the food and the staff and, of course, the manager Scott, I wish I could dine at this restaurant every single night!!! He turned a special night into something magical for us that we'll never forget! Any special occasion, or just a quiet night out is definitely deserving of a trip to ONYX!!! Thank you everyone for making our celebration joyous and memorable!!!"

"Having been a life long resident of Las Vegas, I have had the opportunity to watch restaurants come and go, trendy, posh, etc., but one place exists that is not a one-try place, and this is it. Very few restaurants serve the quality of food served here. The staff have always been friendly, and the atmosphere reminds you of restaurants on the strip. Luckily, I now live nearby and it’s a short trip to the Onyx. I take my parents and they love it. They have also handle parties (I had 75 people there!) without one complaint."

"Our Champagne Brunch on Sunday morning was wonderful. The fruit & pastry bar was beautifully displayed. We started off with a Mimosa in a lovely fluted glass. Then came the Lobster Benedict, which did not disappoint -- I'm very picky about my hollandaise, but this one "passed the test", and there were BIG chunks of lobster! Also, eggs were cooked perfectly. Oh, and the rosemary potatoes on the side...Yum! What a great way to start your day."

"My wife and I have frequented Bogey's bar area for some time and have never ventured into the restaurant side. We were induced to what to have at the bar while enjoying our cocktails, when the bartender suggested that we give the restaurant a try. MY wife and I decide to have dinner in the restaurant. We were greeted by a friendly and smiling hostess. She escorted us to the table asking if we had a preference on the table or booth not making the choice on her on. Soon after we had been seated Justin approached us, smiled and asked how we were doing. His manner was very professional and up beat. He made suggestions and then gave us time to look at the menu. The buss person whose name I did not get was friendly, smiling and making eye contact with us during the meal. Justin's service and attitude were far better than that I have had at five star restaurants that I have eaten at. The food was over the top in presentation and quality. The steak was cooked as I had order, my wife's chicken was tender and moist with a fresh crunchy egg plant topping. She is still raving about this one. Would I bring my friends and family to this restaurant you bet I would because I was that impressed. I spoke to Scott after the dinner after requesting his presents at the table. You customers that write the reviews were right it is like talking to a friend or a family member. That's the way he comes across. He's friendly and smiling and making sure that all his customers are treat right. The music in the room which is played by a wonderful gentleman sets the mood for a great meal. Please take this from me I have been a secret shopper and food critic for over fives years and have done some of the finest restaurants in the business. This restaurant would be at the top of my list for fine dinning with a twist, the people are nice, friendly and smiling. Not snooty like a lot of major restaurants Here is to you Scott and your team Thanks "

"We looked into having our reception at Onyx. Were fascinated by the interior. After going home to discuss it, we decided to dine there. Needless to say, we have been there several times for dinner. Our "business" meeting with Scott was more like a family gathering. He, along with several other staff there, have done nothing but make our visits there impeccable. Justin is awesome and we hope he will do us the honor of being present the night of our wedding reception. "We went for Valentine's Day, there was a set menu, which was a plus, and the service was impeccable, with the wine poured into a decanter. Before we were seated there was a rose given to us along with a picture taken, this was a very nice touch and something that I was not expecting. The food was very good and both the appetizer and the main course portions were a good size. To finish the evening we were presented with a metal plated version of the picture taken. Overall it was a great dining experience and this is a must not miss place. "

"What a beautiful restaraunt! Friends of mine were in from out of town and we wanted a nice dinner. I live at Painted Desert and heard rumblings from the neighbors about ONYX. The atmosphere is awesome. The cuisine is delightful. I couldn't decide between courses when Ron suggested I have a Port. So I did. I went with the filet and upon suggestion,my husband went with the linguini portofino. The food was absolutely to die for. The staff is attentive yet they let you soak it all in. Found out about the beer tastings,wine tastings,scotch tastings, and now there's going to be a Martini Dinner! You can't possibly ask for more. I tip my hat to Ron,Justin,Elaine, Nicole and the entire staff...We will be back. "

As for the food, I had the chicken piccate, wonderful and daughter had the filet, best I've had in a long time and it is usually the entree I order at a fine restuarant. "We attended a Birthday Party at Onyx. First of all our waiters, Justin & Ronny were fantastic. They were very attentive to everyone. Best service we have had in a long time. Now to get down to the Nitty Gritty, the food was excellent,from the caesar salad, on to the pastas and then the chicken marsala and last but not least the garlic bread. My 23 year old daughter found this the highlight of our Las Vegas visit. "This restaurant was how every classy place should be! They definitely exude class and elegance. The steaks were delicious and not as expensive as on the strip. Plus, everything was not ala carte which was great. Definitely, come hungry because there is alot to eat. It was romantic yet comfortable to be with friends. The entire staff was fantastic. "regards to the experience- The waiter was awesome (Justin), Atmosphere was perfect- not too loud, not too quiet. It was very “communal” which is very much like the restaurants in New York, where you shake the owners hand, talk to the talent etc. Not many restaurants out here are like that. The reason I will come back- I felt “at home” almost like I knew the staff and you serve a really good rib eye. Presentation of food was also top notch. I get so tired of the “slop on a plate” scenario that you see a lot out here in Vegas. Those other restaurants lack “refinement”. Constructive feedback-My steak was great, but needed a bit more “seasoning”. The risotto was the same way, very well prepared (risotto was not gummy but al dente perfect), but a little lacking on the salt & pepper."
